SocialMedia.ie designed and delivered a 12 week practical social media module to the final year Business and Management students. The students feedback on the module was very positive and their assessments were based on work they might do in a real social media job. As an experienced educator, I would recommend SocialMedia.ie to anyone who is interested in social media and social learning.

Connector and EYP Tribes Christmas Party

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Connector and EYP Tribes Christmas party in Lillies Bordello last Thursday the 8th of December.  Many thanks to our sponsors El Comandante wine, The Aviva Stadium, The Guinness Store House, Sports Person Dream and Saba Restaurant.  The event was a big success and we raised a lot of money for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

It is now three months since SocialMedia.ie began lecturing to final year NUIM business students in Social Media techniques and the results are overwhelmingly positive. Not only are the students learning Social Media Marketing techniques but they are learning the importance of building their own personal brand online. With their eyes fixed on an incredibly competitive job market place these students are aware of the need to have their professional capabilities and qualifications online.

Along with our regular social media training, we are currently working on a number of projects with Sage, NUI Maynooth and The Telecommunication Software and Systems Group (TSSG). In addition to these exciting projects, we have four new additions to the Socialmedia.ie team. Joining us are Cian Corbett, Fiona Pope, Liane Costello and Kieran Duffy.

Exciting News

Conor Lynch has been asked to be a judge for the Junior Spider Awards. The programme began in 2009 and is aimed at students at primary and post primary school level. These awards aim to acknowledge the innovation amongst web creators in schools and to honour outstanding online achievements. Closing date for entries is November 1st so apply now!
