Recently we have seen tragedies and suicides from teenagers as a result of being bullied online. Cyber bullying and bullying in the real world go hand in hand, however, unlike at school, the opportunity to bully online is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
We need to learn and understand how these powerful social media platforms work in order to protect our vulnerable children and help minimise the risk they are exposed to.
Our presentation highlights what teenagers are doing online, what information they share, shows the positive side of social media and also some stories that show how one Tweet or Facebook status can change your world forever.
